Appointments

Urgent Appointments - Please call between 8am and 9am

For urgent cases please ring between 8am and 9am, Please do not be upset if our reception staff asks for details of a problem, as we will need to tell the Doctor and is carrying out our instructions.

Please give as much information as possible to our members of staff to enable us to make the appropriate arrangements for you.

General Appointments

We book appointments to see the Doctor each day between 3pm and 4pm for non-urgent/routine appointments.

The reception team will give you the next available appointment, although this may not be the next day. We can also offer telephone consultations with each Doctor.

You can also pre-book to see any Doctor in the surgery up to 2 months in advance and you will be given the next available appointment which may not be the next day.

You are free to see any Doctor in the Practice but if you wish to see a particular Doctor, you may have to wait!

Please telephone the surgery during working hours to make an appointment to see the nurse.

Waiting Times

Surgeries will normally start on time and we endeavour to keep them running on time. However, there may be occasions due to unforseen circumstances, where this is not possible and we ask for your patience.

When a doctor is called away on an emergency we will inform the patients and give them the opportunity to book an alternative appointment, or if preferred, to be seen by another doctor.

Cancelling Appointments

If you are not able to make your appointment, please cancel this as soon as possible to enable others to benefit from it.

Missed Appointments

Due to the number of patients failing to attend for their appointment this may mean that you may not be able to see the doctor on the day that you wish to.

In an attempt to try and resolve this, the practice has developed the following policy:

All patients are encouraged to contact the surgery up to the time of their appointment if unable to attend.

If you fail to attend 2 appointments, we will write to you advising that you have missed appointments and are at rsik of being removed from the practice list if further appointments are missed .

Failure to attend 3 appointments in a 12 month period will result in removal from the practice list and you will have to find an alternative GP practice.
