Care Quality Commission (CQC)

GP practices in the UK are inspected by the Care Quality Commission.

The role of the CQC is to ensure that practices (and other care services such as hospitals, dentists and nursing homes) are providing safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care and to encourage service providers to make improvements.

You can learn more about the CQC here.

Inspections of GP practices by the CQC began in April 2013 and, with around 8,000 practices in the UK, it was always going to be a major undertaking to inspect them all.

Most practices in Bradford have now been inspected at least once; their current CQC status is available here where you can also read the full CQC reports on practices.

You can also register for email alerts to inform you when a new report on a particular practice becomes available following an inspection by clicking here

Frizinghall Medical Centre was inspected by the CQC on Friday 22nd March 2019, the full report from the CQC is available from the CQC website by clicking here
